Believe it or not, the Quantum Chromatic Tarot Deck is not the first thing I ever created in my life. Here's a smattering of the more interesting things I've made in the last ~20 years.
A community project I ended up leading, featuring the talents of too many people to name here. Tells the story of a long-forgotten Canadian Yellow Pages mascot, brought to Doom by Lawrence Harrison in 1997 and resurrected by a bunch of obsessive nerds today. Best thing is just to answer the call and dive right into the madness yourself.
Get ready for 32 wacky, gimmicky maps! Winner of an Honorable Mention in the 2024 Cacowards. Get your spoon and can opener and get beaning
The first Doom map(s?) I ever made, back in 2006 or so, remade all modern like. Hopefully it's obvious in the screenshots which is which! Experience my crappy first map and then experience it again, with a twist or two.
Commander Keen has been my favorite series of games since I was a very tiny boy sometime in the mid-90s. The game's modding scene isn't as lively as it was 20 years ago, but it's still going nonetheless and there's an incredible body of work to be seen. Below are a couple of my contributions to it. Note that you will need DOSbox or other emulation (or a DOS compatible computer) and, in some cases, a copy of one of the retail games to play.
Guide Character though a wacky land of make-believe and pain as he searches for cool souvenirs to take back home with him! My first full Commander Keen mod, started on a whim while on an airplane and made almost entirely on a little Netbook. Probably my most stream-of-consciousness modding project to date.
Infiltrate the mysterious Bobrick Tower and find out who is behind the terrible alien invasion! You won't believe the shocking finale! A mod consisting of a single enormous level, which is a bad idea in a game where you can't save mid-level (but DOSbox will do that for you ;3 ) Requires Commander Keen 3 to play.
The most comprehensive and accurate simulation of the cowboy lifestyle ever made, now on Atari 2600! Programmed in MOS 6502 assembly, and out on cartridge as soon as I get around to making the manual and box art for it
